Adrienne Adelberg, LPC

My name is Adrienne and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have been a therapist in a wide variety of roles from providing counseling for individuals and couples seeking to improve their lives and relationships, to working with those experiencing acute mental health crises in psychiatric residential care. I have also worked with individuals within the criminal justice system, and I bring extensive experience in issues faced by adolescents and their families, including addiction, trauma, and emotional and behavioral struggles.

In my free time, I enjoy ultimate frisbee, running, listening to podcasts, and looking for outdoor adventures.

Therapeutic Approach

Therapy allows us to explore who we really are, who we want to be, and what is getting in the way, both for ourselves and in our relationships. Therapy cannot take away the difficulties life brings, but it can help us navigate them, and develop a life that feels meaningful, purposeful, and fulfilling. I strive to develop a genuine connection with my clients, and to create a nonjudgmental space for you to uncover what’s important to you. I draw on a broad range of therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, humanistic, family-systems, acceptance-and-commitment, and existential theories.

I work with adolescents, adults, and couples who may be experiencing:

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Self-esteem issues
  • Complex trauma / Post-traumatic stress
  • Depression and mood disorders (bipolar disorder, etc.)
  • Relationship issues / Divorce
  • Adjustment to life changes
  • Parenting challenges
  • Adolescent emotional & behavioral problems
  • Grief and loss
  • Spiritual and cultural concerns
