Alex Franjola, MA, LPC

My name is Alex Franjola and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have worked in various mental health settings for the last 10 years. My professional experience includes working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families within inpatient, outpatient, residential, and private practice settings across the US.

Treatment Philosophy

As a clinician, I believe healing happens in relationship. The quality of our life is directly connected to the quality of our relationships. When these connections and channels of communication become impacted by stress, it profoundly affects our emotional, mental, and physical health. Emotional wellness is the process of being able to oscillate from experience to experience with integrity, growth, resilience, meaning, and connection. Effective therapy is achieved through mutual collaboration and therapeutic alliance fostered between the counselor and the individual.

I utilize evidence and practice-based therapy modalities to assist my clients in meeting their treatment goals. I empower clients with strengths-based strategies to align with each client’s individual needs and hopes. My approach is person-centered and integrative incorporating; psycho-education, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care utilizing Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Gottman Couples Counseling Methods and narrative and expressive modalities such as art and play therapy (PCIT Informed).

I provide individual, couples, and family therapy to those who may be experiencing:

● Depression and mood disorders
● Anxiety, panic, worries, stress
● Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder/ Trauma
● Grief and loss
● Adjustments to life changes
● Relational/Family Issues
