Ashlie Sheldrake, QMHP, LPC Associate

My name is Ashlie Sheldrake and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who is registered with the State of Oregon.  I have worked in the mental health field since 2015 in both educational and community mental health settings.

In my free time, I enjoy being outside and going on hikes with my dog Sam, cooking, gardening, and spending quality time with others.

Therapeutic Approach

I believe healing and processing manifests from a holistic and person centered approach, where human connection and trust are only viable when it is safe to explore and to be vulnerable. Yet, in order to be vulnerable and be able to own our own story, we need an environment to thrive in that is free of shame and judgment; an environment I strive to create with my clients.

My overall therapeutic philosophy originates from a psychodynamic model, in that I believe our current patterns and drives lie within our unconscious. I work with my clients to unpack what some of those drives might be, and explore how emotions, thoughts, and beliefs could be influencing their current self. I also draw upon other evidence based modalities so that my clients have resources available to them to use outside of the session. All of the treatment approaches are co-created with you as the client, so that the process remains collaborative and individualized to what your needs are.

I provide individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults who may be experiencing:

  • Depression and mood issues
  • Anxiety and stress
  • Self-esteem issues
  • Major life changes and adjustments
  • Trauma/PTSD
  • Grief and loss
  • Relationship issues
  • Parenting challenges
  • Child & adolescent emotional and behavioral problems
  • Family conflict
  • Spiritual and cultural concerns

I welcome all races, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, abilities, all people.
