Alexander Tipton, LPC
My name is Alex Tipton and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon. I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Corban University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Western Oregon University. Before becoming a therapist I spent several years working at a community outreach support mentor for at risk youth. The experience helped prepare me for a role that would require a lot of empathy, connecting relationships and awareness of mental health impacting all parts of life. I became a counselor because it is my passion and something I have always felt called to me.
Treatment Orientation
My experience includes providing clinical counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I specialize in supporting populations with relationship difficulties, couples therapy, career counseling, anxiety reduction, depression, and fitness-wellness management. Additionally, I have experience with polyamorous relationships and LGBTQ populations.
I rely on a person-centered approach to counseling. I believe each person responds to therapy differently and is best served by tailoring treatment around the person and their specific symptoms. My objective is to create a safe, supportive environment where each person can work toward their individual therapeutic goals at their own pace.
I am a native Oregonian who believes in finding balance in all areas of life through the building of a strong support system consisting of strong outlets, positive relationships, and personal goals.
