Dr. Ted Askwith, PsyD
I recognize the courage it takes to seek help. To honor that courage, I strive to create an environment where all people feel valued and comfortable. I believe you have the capacity to heal, and my role is
to support you in that process. It is wonderful to see my clients realize they are capable of far more than they thought possible.
I chose to become a psychologist to help others live more fully in the midst of the joy and challenges of life. I emphasize collaboration, expanding strengths, and self-compassion. We all have the power to
make changes in our lives under the right conditions. Together, we will identify what you want out of life and how to accomplish it.
I’ve worked in rural clinics in Alaska, in-patient units in Salem and Portland, intensive outpatient clinics, medical clinics, and a speciality anxiety clinic. I currently support teens and adults, especially those experiencing anxiety and depressive disorders.
I am committed to helping others find hope and freedom through evidence-based practices. My specialties include ACT, CBT, and ERP. I have extensive experience treating OCD, phobias, and panic disorder with ERP. Outside of work, I enjoy laughing with my family, exploring wild places, skiing with friends, learning the fiddle, and playing with my dog.
