Jaime D’Alessio, MA, LMFT

Hello! My name is Jaime and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has had the wonderful experience and privilege to work in the states of Oregon, Washington, and Florida. This multi-state work has allowed me the opportunity to diversify the populations and locations within which I’ve been able to work. That experience has given me the opportunity to grow and expand my approach to include various cultural lenses and state systems from which we navigate. I have worked in environments that include community mental health centers, private-practice, and school-based settings. Just a few of my roles have included work that foster family healing and growth to mend relationships through generational and/or systemic trauma, grant work to redirect struggling youth who are at risk of entering the judicial system, with military members and their families through transitions and re-integrations, along with many others.

Philosophy

I believe that our experiences shape our perspectives and influence how we move through our lives. Often new challenges may feel overwhelming and difficult to handle. As a systemically oriented, strengths-based, and person-centered therapist I see how our social, cultural, economic, and spiritual experiences impact our lives and mental health. I believe that, while keeping these lenses in mind, within each individual lies inherent strengths to draw from towards healing and growth. My goal is to help you discover and build upon those strengths while also understanding where those reactions and patterns stem from as we work together through a tailored, integrative approach to meet your needs. As your therapist, my goal is to meet you where you are in this process and to provide a safe, supportive, and collaborative relationship to work through each unique challenge you and/or your family is facing.

Theoretical Orientations

In this work I draw from many evidenced-based counseling theories, including: Structural Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Play Therapy, CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT, and Attachment Theory. I will work with each client in a collaborative approach to therapy that will maintain support to meet your individual unique needs to reach your therapy journey goals.
