Josh Strole, LCSW
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Oregon with a passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. Since entering the mental health field in 2013, I’ve gained extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working with a diverse range of clients and concerns. I'm deeply committed to social justice, equity, and the belief that every person is inherently worthy of respect, love, and dignity.
Outside of work, I tend to take a quieter approach to life. I enjoy relaxing at home, reading, and spending time on hobbies that support my own self-care. I strive to practice what I encourage in others—maintaining balance, setting boundaries, and preventing burnout.
Therapeutic approach
I believe that meaningful change and growth come from within. My role as a therapist is to support and empower my clients in building the tools they need to create the lives they want. Therapy, to me, is a collaborative process—my goal is to walk alongside my clients at their pace, helping them feel heard, supported, and equipped for long-term success.
I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual’s needs. These include:
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Somatic-based techniques
Dual diagnosis and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment
