In-Person Lake Oswego & Telehealth

Julia Santucci, LCSW

My name is Julia Santucci, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I provide individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Most recently, I worked as a child and adolescent therapist in an outpatient setting, where I worked closely with children and families around emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. I received my Master's degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago’s School of Social Work in 2023 and recently relocated from Chicago to the Portland area. My clinical background also includes work with clients in a psychiatric hospital, emergency department, and federal agency.

Therapeutic Approach

I believe that therapy is most effective when it’s grounded in a safe and collaborative relationship built on empathy and trust. My goal is to create a calm, mindful, and respectful therapeutic space for all clients to feel supported and understood. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and developmentally sensitive, and I prioritize meeting clients wherever they may be on their journey of healing and change.

My approach draws from evidence-informed practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), play-based interventions, and principles of the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics. Flexibility and creativity are central to my practice and I work to meet each client’s unique needs, developmental stage, values, and goals.

I provide therapy for child, adolescent, and adult clients ages 6 and up who may be experiencing:

  • Emotional or behavioral challenges in children and adolescents

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Depression and mood-related concerns

  • Self-esteem and negative self-image

  • Life transitions and adjustment

  • Relational and family concerns

I welcome clients of all races, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, abilities, and backgrounds, and I am committed to providing affirming, nonjudgmental care.
