Kelly Smith, LCSW (they/them)
Hello. My name is Kelly Smith and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have 10 years of experience working in the mental health field in various settings such as emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, youth residential facility, permanent supportive housing program, community based mental health clinic, and outpatient/telehealth. In my free time I enjoy exploring new crafts and fiber arts, camping, quality time with my cat Frankie, and indoor gardening.
Therapeutic approach
I believe therapy should be collaborative, client centered, and individualized to meet each person where they are in their therapeutic journey. I strive to create a safe and brave space to explore difficult thoughts, feelings and behaviors as well as process painful memories in a way that supports personal growth and development. Depending on your needs and goals, I practice utilizing a variety of therapy models including psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy and mindfulness-based techniques.
I provide therapy for individuals 18 and older who may be struggling with:
Trauma
Anxiety
Depression
Bipolar
Psychosis
LGTBQIA+ concerns
ADHD
Grief and loss
Significant life changes
Addictions
I welcome all races, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, abilities, ethnicities, all people, without judgment.
