Leonore Licht-Miller, LPC

Welcome! Reaching out for support can be difficult. My name is Leonore and I am a licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon. I honor the therapeutic relationship as a sacred contract. I trust my client’s inherent wisdom about how to heal and grow and believe in the natural organicity of that process. My task as a therapist is simply to facilitate that process with mindfulness.

During the course of our confidential discussions, themes and patterns that contribute to your distress may emerge. We can explore your feelings and perceptions and discover what limiting core beliefs stand in your way of well-being. I will guide you in developing your ability to be mindful and draw on those innate strengths in a safe and compassionate environment. You will learn how to bring light to forgotten inner resources and to find solutions within.

Treatment Philosophy

Over the past 30 years, I have developed my body-mind therapy skills in a variety of mental health settings: Emanuel Hospital Pain Center, Kaiser Permanente Psycho-educational Department, Tigard High School, Lewis and Clark College and private practice. My clinical approach is eclectic and I use counseling techniques and methods based on how they fit my clients’ needs.

I have completed a one year Hakomi Bodywork training and a two-year training in Eden Energy Medicine with Donna Eden. I have taught Mindfulness-Based-Stress-Reduction classes created by Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D.
