Sarah Baump, LPC
My name is Sarah Baump and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have been in the mental health field for almost 10 years, focusing on working with children, adolescents, teens, and families. I have experience working in several settings throughout my professional career including residential inpatient for youth, preschool classrooms, in- home services, and outpatient clinics. I work with children and families to address an array of symptoms including depression, anxiety, behavioral challenges, ADHD, PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, and caregiver/child relationship enhancement. I provide individual and family therapy sessions for older kids and teens as well as play-based therapy and parent training with younger children.
Therapeutic Approach:
I believe in a family systems approach to therapy when working with children. As I work with children and teens throughout therapy, I believe it is important to have the support of the family in whatever way that feels comfortable for the child and caregivers involved. I have a strength-based style of therapy, focusing on client and family strengths as well as incorporating family/client values into the therapy work. It is important to me to make sure that therapy goals align with the goals and values of the families I work with. I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment that nurtures genuine connections with my clients and their families.
I provide individual and family therapy for those who may be experiencing:
Depression
Anxiety
Trauma related symptoms (PTSD, acute stress disorder)
ADHD
Behavioral challenges
Autism spectrum disorder
Parenting support
Adjustment related stressors
Grief and loss
I welcome ALL races, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, abilities, ethnicities, and people without judgment.
